The Product
HealCare is a mobile app and responsive website project which aims to help users about emergency situations. HealCare enables its users to create health ID which helps doctors to recognise their patients. HealCare gives opportunity to review hospitals and call an ambulance when there is an emergency with the help of location information.
Project Duration
April 2022 to June 2022
The Goal
Design a dedicated mobile application and responsive website focused on social good.
My Role
UX/UI Designer
Responsibilities
Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, User research, conducting interviews, and user feedback. Creating user flows, wireframes, Low and High fidelity prototypes, usability testing and studies and factoring accessibility in design and mockups.
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was people with constant diseases who want to create health ID to inform their doctors.
As a result of interviews, it is understood what pain points users had and how they feel.

Scheduling
Most users want to reach hospitals as quicky as possible and HealCare shows them which hospitals are top rated and close to their location.
Accessibility
Some have accesibility issues and users often need extra help to understand certain symbols used on the platform.
Reviews
Users are crushed because of explaining their situation to different doctors. Sometimes they switch their usual hospital and doctor in emergency situations which arose a problem.

Mapping Karen’s user journey revealed how helpful it would be for users to have access to a dedicated HealCare App.

As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from the user research.

Driving mode is crucial for the user’s perspective. Destination point and departure time are placed under the driving route to give clear information.

The low-fidelity prototype connected the primary user flow of building and ordering a product, so the prototype could be used in a usability study with users.

low-fidelity prototype.

I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.

Users want to know where hospitals are located and how they can travel them.
Users want to schedule ambulance departure time
Users want to read reviews about hospitals
Profile page should be more accessible
Ambulance waiting screen should be more informative
